As a delegate attending this training, you will be familiar with the theory with the theoretical knowledge of the subject and the wider Social Care Sector; experienced, attended training and have hands on opportunity in Handling Medication within your organisation. The objectives of this course are to:

Explain the legal and regulatory influences surrounding Safe
Handling of Medication in the Social Care Sector.
Identify both national and local level standard operating procedures
Examine the role of a trainer including structure and methods of deliver
Implement a training programme to enhance staff engagement and compliance.
Design a training programme covering all aspects of Medication principles
Implement a Medication Competency assessment system within your organisation.
On completion, the delegate will be qualified to:

Assess the competency of those handling medication
Analysis risk factors that influence the likelihood of incidents occurring
Devise bespoke prevention strategies relevant to your organisation
Implement person centred care strategies to ensure service user compliance.
Implement a Medication Champion system within your organisation.
